A score shows your repayment history. Lenders also check how much of your income already goes to EMIs, how stable your income is, your documents and their own policy.
What else do lenders look at?
Income and its stability, existing EMIs, the employer or business type, age, documents, recent applications and the lender's own rules.
Can too many applications hurt?
Each application can leave an enquiry on your report. Many in a short time can worry a lender. Apply where you have a reason to expect a yes.
Can details mismatch?
Yes. A name, address or income detail that does not match your documents can stop an application. Check each paper before you apply.
What next?
Ask the lender for the reason, fix what you can, and try a lender whose rules suit you. See Personal Loan.
