Loan guidance in Kolkata
Kolkata families and businesses come to us when a loan matters and the choices are confusing. We listen first, look at your income, EMIs and credit report as a lender would, compare two to three suitable options from our associated banks, NBFCs and registered private finance providers, and stay with you until the money is paid out. You pay us nothing for this, before or after the loan. Atlanta Group is not a lender: the bank or NBFC makes the decision, and approval is never guaranteed.
What people in Kolkata come to us for
Salaried people in Salt Lake Sector V and New Town often ask about personal loans and moving an existing loan to better terms; our Personal Loan page explains what lenders check. Traders in Burrabazar and the wholesale markets, and small manufacturers across the river in Howrah, ask about working capital; see our Business Loan page. Many families are buying their first flat, often on the city's growing southern and eastern edges; our Home Loan page walks through the process. Those juggling several EMIs ask about Debt Consolidation.
Buying a flat in Kolkata
Before a lender approves a home loan on a Kolkata flat, its legal team usually checks the chain of title, the building plan approval from KMC or KMDA, an encumbrance search and the property tax receipts. A KMC mutation certificate records the flat in the owner's name for municipal tax, but it is not a title deed, and old tax arrears from an earlier owner can hold up mutation, so ask about both early. For an under-construction project, check its registration on the West Bengal RERA portal. If you pledge property, it is at risk if repayments are missed.
Money lenders in Kolkata
If a bank has said no, a private lender can seem the only way left. In West Bengal a money lender must hold a licence under the Bengal Money-Lenders Act, and within the Kolkata Police area those licences are issued and renewed by the Collector of Kolkata (Stamp and Revenue). Ask to see the licence, and get every term in writing before you sign. Our Private Finance Loan page explains how to check a registered provider and what private finance really costs.
Urgent cash in Kolkata
Medical bills and family emergencies do not wait for paperwork. An unsecured personal loan can sometimes be arranged quickly when your income documents are in order, but be wary of anyone offering cash in minutes against blank cheques or a fee paid first. Our Instant and Emergency Loan page explains the safer routes.
How we work with you
Call or WhatsApp +91 84470 44297, or ask for a callback, which comes within an hour during working hours. A relationship manager takes your case from there: what you need, what lenders will see and which documents to gather. If you would like to sit across the table from us, choose whichever of our two offices is easier to reach, Garia in the south or Esplanade in the centre, and book a time.
What our customers say
"Buying our own home was a big dream for our family. The loan process initially seemed confusing, but Atlanta Group made things much easier to understand. Our home loan was sanctioned, and we are extremely happy. Thank you for helping us take such an important step in our lives."
— Priya Banerjee, Kolkata
Should I visit the Garia office or the Esplanade office?
Whichever is easier for you to reach. Both offer the same help, and your relationship manager can meet you at either, by appointment.
Do you help customers in Howrah, Salt Lake and New Town?
Yes. Many of our Kolkata customers live or work outside the city centre, and most of the work happens by phone and WhatsApp. When a meeting helps, Garia and Esplanade are both an easy trip for most of the metro area.
